La Peste Porcine Africaine, historique :

Le virus responsable de cette maladie est complètement différent de celui causant la Peste Porcine Classique, encore présente dans l’Est de la France, il y a quelques années. Elles sont toutes les deux appelées « peste » en raison des lésions hémorragiques qu’elles entraînent.

Elle s’est ensuite propagée dans le Sud Ouest de la Russie et s’est ensuite étendue aussi bien vers l’Ouest (arrivée en Europe en 2014 (Lituanie), que vers l’Est (Mongolie…).
