Tourists fined and banned from Venice for swimming in canal
<a href=https://trip-scan.co>трипскан сайт</a>
A couple from the United Kingdom had to cut their vacation in Venice short after being caught swimming in the Grand Canal.
The 35-year-old British man and his 25-year-old Romanian girlfriend were forced to return to their home in the UK on Thursday, the same day they arrived in the city, after gondoliers reported them to local police for taking a dip in the canal.
The pair were fined €450 ($529) each and expelled from Venice for 48 hours, marking the 1,136th such sanction to be handed down to badly behaved tourists in the city so far this year, according to the Venice City Police.
The unnamed couple took the plunge near the Accademia bridge near St. Mark’s Square and gondoliers at the Rio San Vidal kiosk immediately called authorities, who removed them from the water.
“I thank the gondoliers for their cooperation and timely reporting,” said Venice Security Councillor Elisabetta Pesce in a statement published by city authorities on Friday. https://trip-scan.co

“Venice must be defended from those who disrespect it: protecting the city means ensuring decorum for residents and visitors who experience it with civility.”
Swimming in the Venice canals is prohibited for a variety of reasons, including the intense boat traffic and the cleanliness — or lack thereof — of the water, according to the city’s tourism ministry.
Of the 1,136 orders of expulsion from the city so far this year, about 10 were for swimming.

Rising waters and overtourism are killing Venice. Now the fight is on to save its soul
“Since the beginning of the year, we have issued a total of 1,136 orders of expulsion for incidents of degradation and uncivilized behavior,” Venice local police deputy commander Gianni Franzoi said in a statement shared with CNN.
Poor visitor behavior is one of the worst byproducts of overtourism, Franzoi said, and incidents are on the rise.
In July 2024, an Australian man was fined and expelled for diving off the Rialto Bridge after his friends posted about it on social media.
The year before, two French tourists were fined and expelled for skinny dipping in the canal under the moonlight. In August 2022, a German man was fined and expelled for surfing in the canal.

Venice’s authorities have been trying to balance the need for visitor income with residents’ demands for a city that works for them.
Day trippers now pay a €10 entrance fee on summer weekends and during busy periods throughout the year.
The city has also banned tour groups of more than 25 people, loudspeakers and megaphones, and even standing on narrow streets to listen to tour guides.
“It was necessary to establish a system of penalties that would effectively deter potential violations,” Pesce said when the ordinance was passed in February.
“Our goal remains to combat all forms of irregularities related to overtourism in the historic lagoon city center,” she added.
“The new rules for groups accompanied by guides encourage a more sustainable form of tourism, while also ensuring greater protection and safety in the city and better balancing the needs of Venice residents and visitors.”

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
<a href=https://a810-dobnow.nyc.gov/Publish/DocumentStage/New%20License/L0003338... casinos</a>
Современная индустрия динамично обновляется, добавляя интересные решения слотов. Среди основных платформ мотор заметен, внедряя технологичные идеи, где знакомые функции работают с инновациями. Это открывает пользователям особые впечатления.
I've been getting into the world of online casinos lately, and I’ve gotta say — it’s surprisingly fun. At first, I was a bit wary. I mean, how do you even rely on an online platform with your cash, right? But after digging deep (and trying out a few questionable sites so you can avoid that mess), I figured out a few things that distinguish a legit casino from a total scam. First off, if you’re new to all this, here’s the golden rule: **check the license**. If a casino doesn’t have a proper license (like from the Malta Gaming Authority or the UK Gambling Commission), just run. No bonus is worth the trouble of never seeing your money again. Also — and I know no one wants to — go through the small print. That’s the only way to know what kind of playthrough limits they’ve slapped onto those so-called “generous” bonuses.
Now, let me share a site I’ve been hooked on these last few weeks. It’s been a total win. The interface? Super smooth. Payouts? Quick — like 24 hours quick. And the game selection? *Insane*. Slots, live dealers, blackjack, even some oddball options I hadn’t tried before. Check it out here: <a href="https://www.hostboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1196515&p=2921984">cosmo casino no deposit bonus</a> . What really impressed me was the support team. I had a tiny issue with a bonus not working, and they got back to me in like no time. Compare that to other sites where you’re just left hanging — yeah, not worth it.
Also, if you’re into bonuses (and who isn’t?), this place offers some juicy ones. But here’s the trick: don’t just chase bonuses. It’s smarter to get fair terms than a huge bonus you’ll never be able to withdraw. I’m not saying you should go and blow your whole paycheck — please don’t. But if you’ve got a little extra fun budget and you’re looking for a chill way to spend an evening, online casinos can totally deliver. Just play smart, know your limits, and don’t treat it like a side hustle. It’s for fun, not for a paycheck. Anyway, just wanted to drop my experience here in case anyone’s curious or trying to find a good place to play. If you’ve got your own go-to sites or even some horror tales, I’m all ears — love talking shop about this stuff.
Good luck out there, and may the odds be ever in your favor ??

Hey I know this is off topicHey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

Hey folks,Hey folks,
I've been getting into the world of online casinos lately, and I’ve gotta say — it’s surprisingly fun.

Hey everyone,Hey everyone,
I've been diving into the world of online gaming lately, and I’ve gotta say — it’s pretty damn addictive. At first, I was honestly suspicious. I mean, how do you even rely on an online platform with your cash, right? But after digging deep (and trying out a few dodgy sites so you don’t have to), I figured out a few things that distinguish a trustworthy casino from a total scam. First off, if you’re new to all this, here’s the golden rule: **licenses matter**. If a casino doesn’t have a proper regulatory certificate (like from the MGA or the UKGC), just run. No bonus is worth the risk of never seeing your money again. Also — and I know no one wants to — go through the small print. That’s the only way to know what kind of hidden traps they’ve slapped onto those so-called “generous” bonuses.
Now, let me share a site I’ve been hooked on these last few weeks. It’s been a breath of fresh air. The interface? Super smooth. Payouts? Quick — like 24 hours quick. And the game selection? *Wild*. Slots, live dealers, blackjack, even some weird niche games I hadn’t tried before. Check it out here: <a href="http://diskusia.katasternehnutelnosti.sk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12337">spin mama</a> . What really stood out was the customer service. I had a tiny issue with a bonus not working, and they got back to me in like 10 minutes. Compare that to other sites where you’re just left hanging — yeah, no thanks.
Also, if you’re into bonuses (and who isn’t?), this place offers some juicy ones. But here’s the trick: don’t just grab every shiny offer. It’s smarter to get clear terms than a huge bonus you’ll never be able to withdraw. I’m not saying you should go and bet the farm — please don’t. But if you’ve got a little extra spending money and you’re looking for a bit of online excitement, online casinos can totally deliver. Just play smart, set a budget, and don’t treat it like a side hustle. It’s for fun, not for a paycheck. Anyway, just wanted to drop my experience here in case anyone’s looking for solid info or trying to find a trustworthy place to play. If you’ve got your own stories or even some horror tales, I’m all ears — love talking shop about this stuff.

Hey guys,Hey guys,
I've been getting into the world of internet gambling lately, and I’ve gotta say — it’s way more exciting than I expected. At first, I was a bit wary. I mean, how do you even trust an online platform with your money, right? But after doing a ton of research (and trying out a few questionable sites so you can avoid that mess), I figured out a few things that separate a legit casino from a total scam. First off, if you’re new to all this, here’s the golden rule: **licenses matter**. If a casino doesn’t have a proper regulatory certificate (like from the MGA or the UK Gambling Commission), just close that tab. No bonus is worth the risk of never seeing your funds again. Also — and I know no one wants to — go through the small print. That’s the only way to know what kind of wagering requirements they’ve slapped onto those so-called “amazing” bonuses.
Now, let me share a site I’ve been using these last few weeks. It’s been a game-changer. The interface? Super clean. Payouts? No waiting around. And the game selection? *Massive*. Slots, live dealers, blackjack, even some weird niche games I hadn’t tried before. Check it out here: <a href="https://blooder.net/read-blog/120390">vinci spin casino review</a> . What really won me over was the help desk. I had a tiny issue with a bonus not working, and they got back to me in like no time. Compare that to other sites where you’re just left hanging — yeah, not worth it.
Also, if you’re into bonuses (and who isn’t?), this place offers some legit ones. But here’s the trick: don’t just chase bonuses. It’s smarter to stick to reasonable terms than a huge bonus you’ll never be able to withdraw. I’m not saying you should go and blow your whole paycheck — please don’t. But if you’ve got a little extra fun budget and you’re looking for a chill way to spend an evening, online casinos can totally deliver. Just stay sharp, control your bankroll, and don’t treat it like a side hustle. It’s for fun, not for a paycheck.
